I moved to the East Valley from southern Iowa in 2008 and have called Arizona home ever since. I completed my Aesthetics program with just over 705 hours of education and multiple specialty certifications in 2013, and graduated high school that same year.
Now days, I'm a regular at the dog park, I garden and sew, and spend quality time watching horror movies (or anime) with my awesome, supportive partner and our three pets at our house in Mesa.
I really enjoy getting to know my clients! I feel like we learn so much from each other during our rituals together. My wish is that people who trust me with their faces could see the beauty that I see in them!

Call me Jo! I was a military kid and moved around a lot growing up! After graduating from Cosmetology school in 2017, and after a few years of working in various corporate salons in Virginia, my family made the big trip across the country to plant our roots here in Arizona in 2021. I like live music, plants, making art, and eating candy!
I am confident in all lengths of haircuts, and have an intense love for color theory - how it applies to vivid hair, as well as natural colors. I also love showing clients how to care for and style their new 'do, so be sure to ask questions when you're in my chair - I have answers! Let's work together to build your perfect Hair Ritual!
Our mission is to serve and celebrate all of our clients, but we want to specifically, clearly state that we are a queer, non-binary, & trans-inclusive business. This is something we're passionate about, as our collective experiences remind us that the mainstream salon/spa industry isn't always kind.
We are located in the collection of studios known as The Society on Mill Ave in Tempe, Arizona.
Free parking is available in the attached private lot.
Our custom-built salon space has luxury finishes throughout, complementary snacks and drinks available, and access to two genderless restrooms.
